Our Love Story

Patrick and Luci met briefly for the first time in the spring of 2018 through a mutual friend. A year later, Patrick decided to open an Instagram account and by chance, he stumbled upon Luci’s profile. He added her as a friend and one day he replied to her story about an orange bathing suit that Luci swore was pink. Despite of never agreeing on the color, it was the beginning of many pleasant and joyful conversations.

One day, Patrick finally worked up the courage to ask Luci out on a date. They met after work in Jersey City, and Luci arrived by ferry. On that day, they fell in love with each other’s stories and realized they had a lot in common, not just in terms of their background, but also their persistency, resiliency, and hard work. They were enchanted by each other's company and it was the beginning of many pleasant and joyful dates.

 

On July 24th 2019, Patrick invited Luci to spend the day at a Spa, followed by a Broadway musical (Aladdin), and dinner in New York City. They were very much in love and happy. At the end of this amazing date, Patrick made a wish just like Aladdin made his wish to the genie… He wished Luci to be his girlfriend (I love his cheesy ways).

 

There were three intense years of a lot of love and growth, Patrick and Luci learned to love each other not only through the good times, but also through the bad times. They persisted and chose each other every time over the course of the years and after every conflict. They learned that love is about communication, dedication, and to always find their way back to each other. Persistence was the word that defined their relationship, and they did everything they could to make it work.

 

On October 30th, 2022, Patrick proposed to Luci in front of the Eiffel Tower and they are now happier than ever. They can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together. Their love story proves that even though relationships can be difficult, with persistence and love, anything is possible.
